Paralympics at Stoke Mandeville

The BPM were filming at Stoke Mandeville in July for Wheelpower in the run up to the 2012 Paralympics.
The Finnish International track and field team were over training at Stoke Mandeville stadium. Pictured below, a very tough interval training session with, Leo-Pekka Tahti, reigning world record holder and Paralympic champion in the T54 Class, who will be aiming at a 100m and 200m double.
The Finnish athletes’ training will prepare them well for the forthcoming weekend’s (July 30/31) International Athletics meet at Stoke Mandeville, featuring some of Britain’s best-known Paralympians, including five-times London Marathon Wheelchair Marathon Champion David Weir, competing against athletes from 10 nations.
Buckinghamshire will be host to visitors from several nations in the preparation for the Paralympic Games, with athletes from countries as diverse as Iceland, Slovakia, Papua New Guinea, Uganda and Colombia scheduled to visit Stoke Mandeville Stadium before the Games.
